SAT’s are taken in Year 2 (Key Stage 1) and Year 6 (Key Stage 2). They are engaged towards the end of the academic calendar in May, giving teaches enough time throughout the year to prepare them for the exam period.
The Year 2 SAT’s act as the first trial for a child’s experience with examination testing, and in Year 6 the exam results will be used as a prediction for future grades, as well as to place students in their future academic sets for their start at secondary school. Students are placed in sets with other children of the same ability. The sets are a perfect opportunity to keep children at the right pace for their education and help them develop further and even possibly move into higher-achieving sets.
Our tutors will help to prepare for these examinations by providing practice papers, tips on time management skills, along with studying and learning techniques.
All of our tutoring sessions are for 1 hour (double sessions can be booked if required) and are held:
- Monday – Friday 3 pm – 8 pm
- Saturday 10am – 3pm
- Sunday 10am – 2pm
